On the ground, fuel is not available as widely as expected. Additionally, parking the aircraft in Motu Mute is challenging due to its restricted capacity. Applications for parking at the airfield should ideally be sent out a month before to avoid allotment issues on the preferred arrival date.

Customs can be requested 15 days before the planned itinerary. However, it is up to the authorities to approve. Filing for their consent takes about 3500 USD which may soar anytime. Alternately, landing at Faa'a International Airport can avoid the high customs and immigration costs. It is a 45-minute flight away from the tiny islet. Once the authorities process approval for landing permits, the schedule is almost irreversible.
