We are starting to take the disturbing trend of treating our retiring aviation professionals with indifference, if not disdain.

We have been sending these individuals into the skies for decades. Now we’re literally sending them packing without as much as a whispered message in their ears, saying, “You’re too old; go and be a Walmart greeter.”

The disrespected contributions are actually the loss of an invaluable resource – the knowledge of those people.
