Jet fuel is a refined kerosene-based aviation turbine fuel. The most common civil grade is Jet A-1, a mix of hydrocarbons produced from crude oil and treated with additives for anti-icing, static dissipation and corrosion protection. Kerosene is used because it has a high energy density, a low freezing point suitable for high altitude, and a higher flash point than gasoline, which makes it safer to store and handle.

There are three layers: the base fuel cost, into-plane fees charged for delivering it to the aircraft, and airport or handling surcharges. Retail posted prices bundle all three at a premium. Fuel rates remain valid for 7 days. In North and South America and Europe, rates are updated every Tuesday, whereas in the Middle East and Asia they typically remain valid for either 15 or 30 days. Rates are subject to change and may fluctuate based on exchange rates.

We request at least 2 hours notice before arrival or departure, and some locations require 24 hours. Requests can be cancelled, but certain locations impose cancellation fees if the cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the scheduled release or if the fuel is not utilised.
