Kevin Singh, pilot and CEO of Icarus Jet discusses access, responsibility and the limits of the market.
When parts of the aviation system slow down, it is assumed that the rest of the industry will slow down with it. However, the opposite is true. Instead of slowing down, the industry gets fragmented. This is what the current situation in the Middle East has led to. The airspace restrictions, changes to routing corridors, and the current situation at the airport level have brought the industry to a complete halt. Instead, some parts of the system continue to function while others do not.
