The route
Why fly private from London to Ibiza?
London to Ibiza is the summer sector on our desk: 750 nautical miles, about two hours in the air, and a landing seven kilometres from Ibiza Town with the whole island within 40 minutes. The villas, the boats, the opening and closing weekends and the birthdays all fly it from June to September, and a private aircraft turns the worst airline queue in the Mediterranean into a car at the aircraft.
Why private works here
Leave Farnborough from a terminal built for private passengers and land at Ibiza with customs at the aircraft, clear of the arrivals hall, with the car waiting for the drive to the villa or the marina. No airline queue at either end, the group travels together with the luggage it wants, and the return leaves when the weekend ends, not at six in the morning to make the airline.
Aircraft fit
At 750 nautical miles Ibiza is two hours from Farnborough, and the quote turns on how many are flying and what a summer weekend packs. A light jet is the first quote for six or seven with soft bags on a long weekend: nonstop, and the smallest aircraft to find summer parking for. A midsize jet is the quote for a villa party of eight with a week of luggage, a stand-up cabin and a lavatory for two hours. A super-midsize jet suits eight or nine with the most hold space and shaves twenty minutes off the time. The 9,186 foot runway takes every one of them.
Advisor note
Ibiza in summer is a slot and a parking problem, not a runway problem. Private movements are coordinated in season, the ramp fills on the big weekends, and an aircraft that lands on a Friday evening in July often cannot stay until Sunday. We file the slot with the trip, confirm the parking before the aircraft leaves London, and when it cannot stay we price the reposition from the start so nobody discovers it on the ramp.
Icarus Jet charter deskCost
What determines the cost of a London to Ibiza private jet charter?
A two-hour international sector is priced on the aircraft, the trip shape, the slot and parking at Ibiza and the dates. These are the things that move the number on London to Ibiza.
Aircraft class
Every class from light to super-midsize flies it nonstop, so the choice is the cabin. On a two-hour sector a light jet is the right money for a weekend party of six; a villa week for eight with luggage is better value per seat on a midsize.
Round trip or two one-ways
A villa week is two one-way flights. A weekend can keep the aircraft at Ibiza only when the parking is confirmed, and on the opening, closing and big birthday weekends it usually is not. The desk prices both and tells you which comes out cleaner.
Slot, handling and parking at Ibiza
Private movements are slot coordinated in season and handling is arranged with the trip. Parking on the summer weekends is confirmed before departure, and a repositioning leg to Palma or the mainland is priced when the aircraft cannot stay.
The season
The opening and closing weekends, July and August and the big birthday weeks are the tightest for Ibiza slots, parking and aircraft out of London. Those dates need firm bookings weeks ahead.
The London end
Luton and London City need ACL Level 3 slots, enforced with penalties. Farnborough and Biggin Hill need prior permission and keep their own hours. The desk files whichever the field needs with the trip, and picks the field for the address and the aircraft.
What the number covers
We tell you what the quote covers before you book and we hold the operator to the number we gave you. No surprises on the invoice is the point of using the desk.
Aircraft
Which aircraft flies London to Ibiza?
Every class the desk brokers flies to Ibiza nonstop. These are the three quoted most on London to Ibiza.
Citation CJ and Phenom 300 class
Six or seven with weekend bags, about two and a quarter hours, and the easiest aircraft to park on a July ramp.
Citation XLS and Hawker 800 class
Eight with a week of luggage, standing headroom and an enclosed lavatory for the two hours. The first quote for a villa party.
Challenger 350 and Gulfstream G280 class
Eight or nine in the widest cabin, the most hold space, and under two hours to the island.
Larger groups go on a heavy jet, subject to Ibiza parking. See the jets we broker for the full range by cabin class.
Before you fly
What should I know before flying London to Ibiza?
It is an international flight, so bring passports for everyone aboard. The desk files the crew and passenger details with the trip and confirms each passenger's entry requirements for Spain before departure. Customs is cleared at the aircraft at both ends.
Ibiza Airport is the arrival. A single runway of about 9,186 feet, seven kilometres south west of Ibiza Town, with customs at the aircraft and handling arranged with the trip. The town and the marina are fifteen minutes away, Santa Gertrudis and the centre of the island about 25, and the north coast about 40.
On the London side, the field follows the address and the aircraft. Farnborough, 35 miles south west, is a dedicated business aviation airport with no slots and prior permission from its single operator, closing at 2200 on weekdays and 2000 at weekends. Luton, 30 miles north with rail to St Pancras, handles more private movements than any London airport under an enforced Level 3 slot. Biggin Hill, inside the M25, has no slots, the longest hours and a six-minute helicopter to Battersea. London City, six miles from the Square Mile, takes only steep-approach certified light and midsize types and closes from Saturday lunchtime to Sunday midday.
You lose an hour on the way there. Ibiza is on Central European time, so the island clock runs an hour ahead of London all year. A 9 am departure from Farnborough is on the ground at Ibiza around 12:10 local and at the villa for lunch.
When to go
When is the best time to fly London to Ibiza?
June to September is the season. The opening and closing weekends, July and August and the big birthday weeks are the tightest of the year for Ibiza slots, parking and aircraft out of London, and need firm dates weeks ahead. Early June and late September are the calm ends of the same season, with the slot easier and the water warmer at the September end.
Between October and May the airport is quiet and the ramp is empty; a few days of notice from London is enough once the London slot or permission is filed.

Questions
London to Ibiza private jet questions
How long is a private jet flight from London to Ibiza?
About 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes in the air. The sector is 750 nautical miles from Farnborough to Ibiza. Super-midsize jets are under two hours, light jets nearer two hours twenty, and every class the desk quotes reaches the island nonstop.
How far is London from Ibiza by air?
750 nautical miles, about 863 statute miles, between Farnborough and Ibiza Airport. Spain is an hour ahead of London all year, so two hours in the air lands three hours later on the island clock. The desk plans about 2 hr of block time for this pair; the winds on the day move it by a few minutes.
Which airport do private jets use in Ibiza?
Ibiza Airport, seven kilometres south west of Ibiza Town, with a single runway of about 9,186 feet, customs at the aircraft and handling arranged with the trip. It is the only airport on the island.
Does Ibiza need a slot for a private jet?
In season, yes. Private movements are slot coordinated in the summer and the desk files the slot and the handling with the trip. On the big weekends the aircraft often cannot stay and repositions to Palma or the mainland.
Which London airport do private jets use for Ibiza?
Farnborough for most Ibiza trips, with no slots, a private terminal and 35 miles from the centre. Luton, under a Level 3 slot, when the party starts north of London. Biggin Hill, inside the M25, when the return lands late on a Sunday and its hours matter. Each field has its own London airport guide with runways, hours and slots.
Which aircraft is best for London to Ibiza?
A light jet, Citation CJ or Phenom 300 class, for six or seven on a long weekend, the easiest to park in season. A midsize jet, Citation XLS or Hawker 800 class, for a villa party of eight with a week of luggage. A super-midsize jet, Challenger 350 or Gulfstream G280 class, when nine are flying with the most luggage.
What determines the cost of a London to Ibiza private jet?
The aircraft class, whether the trip is two one-way flights or a round trip, the slot, handling and parking at Ibiza, any repositioning when the aircraft cannot stay, the London field and its slot or permission, and the dates against the summer peak. We tell you what the quote covers before you book.
Can I fly Ibiza to London on the same page?
Yes. The sector is quoted in both directions. Put Ibiza as the departure in the form and the desk handles it the same way, with the London slot or permission filed for the arrival.
Is there customs on a London to Ibiza private flight?
Yes, it is an international flight. Customs and immigration are cleared at the aircraft at both ends, and the crew checks passports before departure. There is no airline security line.
Can the aircraft stay at Ibiza for the weekend?
Outside the peak weekends, usually yes. On the opening and closing weekends and through July and August, parking is confirmed before departure and the aircraft often repositions to Palma and returns for the pickup, with that leg on the quote from the start rather than a surprise on the ramp.
When is the best time to fly to Ibiza?
The calm ends of the season: early June before the opening parties settle in, and late September when the sea is warmest and the slots come easily. The opening and closing weekends and all of July and August are the busiest dates of the year, and October to May is quiet and simple to book.
How much notice do I need to book London to Ibiza?
Outside the summer a few days from London is enough. For the opening and closing weekends, July and August and the big birthday weeks, give the desk firm dates weeks ahead so the Ibiza slot, the summer parking and the aircraft are all confirmed before anything is promised.
