Landing Permits for Saudia Arabia

Nov 11, 2022

The three busiest international air entry points into the kingdom are located in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. Fortunately, the airports are large enough to host parking for multiple private jets. It is easier to secure parking here due to the massive capacity of the airfields. King Fahd International in Dammam is the largest airport in the world by land area, with King Khalid International in Riyadh trailing close behind. However, King Abdul Aziz in Jeddah receives the highest influx of annual passenger traffic among the three.

How to obtain a landing permit in Saudia Arabia?

Flight support to KSA is different than most places. It is not mandatory to process PPR documents or send applications for slots in the kingdom. However, permits are requisite for landing here. The following documents are required to obtain landing permits:

  1. General Declaration (Complete Crew & Passenger Details)
  2. Receiving Party Details
  3. Airworthiness Review Document
  4. Certificate of Registration
  5. Certificate of Insurance
  6. Noise Certification
  7. Air Operator Certificate

Applications for permits sent to the DG of Civil Aviation 24 hours before arrival are accepted. However, a recommended window of 72 hours saves trouble in case of requests for other additional documents. The preferred routing for flight plans in KSA is heavily specific. Private jets must strictly comply, and changes are dependent on approval from the DGCA.

Icarus Jet offers trip support services to KSA at affordable rates. Get your permit ASAP. For flight support to Saudia Arabia, call our agents at +1 888 277 7203 or send an email to info@icarusjet.com.
