The Federico Fellini International Airport is the closest destination airport to the city, with the car drive extending up to an hour.
Aircraft parking spaces inside the facility are limited, so grab your trip support to San Marino now. Marche Airport is a close alternate, an hour and a half away from downtown. Negotiating parking stands at Ciampino and Peretola Airports is also possible, pertaining to availability. However, these airports are much farther away from the location of the racing event.

Which airport should I use for a MotoGP round?
It depends on the circuit, and the nearest field is not always the right one. Race weekends fill the local general aviation airport quickly, so the practical answer is often a slightly larger airport further out with reliable parking and a planned transfer.
How far ahead should I book for a race weekend?
Well ahead. Parking, not aircraft, is what runs out first at a circuit-adjacent field, and it is allocated early. For the marquee rounds, months rather than weeks is the right unit.
What happens to airport parking on race days?
It is the binding constraint. Fields near a circuit routinely impose prior permission, slot restrictions or drop-and-go rules during the weekend, which means the aircraft leaves after dropping you and returns to collect. That repositioning is in your price.
Can I fly in on race day itself?
Sometimes, and it is the hardest day to do it. Arrivals concentrate into a few hours, ground transport is heavily restricted around the circuit, and a late slot can mean missing the start. Arriving the day before is the difference between a plan and a hope.
Is a helicopter useful at a race circuit?
Frequently, because it avoids the road congestion that defines a race weekend. It needs an approved landing site and permissions that are often controlled by the event, so it has to be arranged well in advance rather than on the day.
Can a group travel together to a round?
