What should I know before flying Zurich to London?

On the Zurich side, Zurich Airport is the departure. Nine kilometres north of the centre with a rail station inside the terminal, three runways up to 12,139 feet, Category 10 fire cover and full customs. It is slot coordinated, a private movement needs a slot like any other, and handling is mandatory through an approved agent. The night curfew is hard and it starts earlier for charter than most people expect: the latest allocated charter departure slot is 2145 CET, with no exceptions. Zurich rewards a schedule fixed early and punishes one that moves.
You gain an hour on the way there. London is an hour behind Zurich on both clocks. An 8 am departure from Zurich is on the ground at Farnborough around 8:20 local, which is why the day trip is the usual shape.
When to go
When is the best time to fly Zurich to London?
This is a business sector and it flies year round, so there is no season to wait for. What moves is slot availability at both ends around the big finance weeks, the ski season weekends when Zurich absorbs the winter traffic, and the summer holiday weekends.
