History of Dubai Al Maktoum International Airport

Dubai Al Maktoum International airport is In Jabel Ali and about 24 miles Southwest of Dubai. It takes about 45 minutes of a drive without traffic to the main city center of Dubai from Al Maktoum airport. Al Maktoum international airport, also known as Dubai World Central, was Inaugurated in July of 2010. The development of this airport has cost upwards of 82 Billion USD, and its construction had been delayed significantly due to the financial crisis of 2007 and 2011.
