Helicopter Charter,
Island to Island.
Charter a helicopter across Greece, Italy, and Kenya. Athens to Mykonos in around 45 minutes instead of hours on a ferry, with beach club pads, caldera tours, and safari camps beyond the airstrips, all arranged by a pilot-founded, ARGUS-registered team.
The Service
What helicopter charter covers
Helicopter charter is point-to-point flying that skips the airport entirely: island transfers, coastal hops, and pads at hotels, marinas, and beach clubs where a jet cannot land. Athens to Mykonos takes 45 to 60 minutes against roughly 2.5 hours by fast ferry, and the aircraft is yours for the leg rather than shared.
Where helicopters beat every other option
Short over-water legs, congested coastlines, and destinations without a runway. Across the Cyclades a hop that would mean returning to Athens by sea becomes a direct 15 to 25 minute flight, which is why most of our Greek work is Athens to Mykonos, Mykonos to Santorini, and Paros. In Italy the same logic applies to Naples to Capri.
Helicopters also connect to private jet arrivals. We schedule the transfer against your jet landing at Athens, Naples, or Nice and coordinate handling on both sides, which is the most common way our jet charter clients use them.
Choosing the aircraft and the season
Party size and weather decide it. A single-turbine R66 carries four passengers on a fine-weather VFR hop; a twin-engine H135 or A109C adds IFR capability for weather days and longer over-water legs.
The Greek season runs June to September and books out, so peak-month transfers to Mykonos and Santorini want 4 to 6 weeks of notice. Off-season we can usually arrange most routes on 24 to 48 hours. We also fly medevac missions and safari flying in Kenya.

FAQ about helicopter charter
How much does a helicopter charter cost in Greece?
Pricing depends on route, helicopter type, and season. Athens to Mykonos is our most requested transfer; see the current rates guide for numbers. Every quote is all-in, with no hidden fees, delivered within 60 minutes.
How long is the helicopter flight from Athens to Mykonos?
Approximately 45 to 60 minutes, compared with a 2.5-hour ferry crossing, depending on aircraft and winds. Approximate pricing runs €4,500 to €6,000 one way depending on helicopter type and season.
How many passengers can a helicopter carry?
Our fleet ranges from the 4-passenger Robinson R66 to 6 and 7 seat twins like the Airbus H135 and Agusta A109C. Party size, luggage, and summer temperatures all affect the right choice. See types of private helicopters for the full breakdown.
What are the luggage limits on a helicopter?
Helicopters are weight-limited, so soft bags are strongly preferred and allowances vary by aircraft and passenger count. Tell us what you are bringing at the quote stage and we will confirm exactly what fits. Full detail in our luggage capacity guide.
Can we land at beach clubs or private sites?
Several island beach clubs, including Santanna and Scorpios, are served by dedicated transfer pads. Private-site landings need landowner and authority approval, which our team arranges where permitted.
Which Greek islands can I reach by helicopter?
All major islands including Mykonos, Santorini, Crete, Corfu, Rhodes, Hydra, Spetses, Paros, Naxos, and Zakynthos, plus smaller private islands across the Cyclades, Dodecanese, and Ionian groups. Ask us about any island not listed.
How far in advance should I book?
For summer travel (June to September) book 4 to 6 weeks ahead, especially for Mykonos and Santorini. Outside peak season we can arrange most routes with as little as 24 to 48 hours notice.
What helicopter types do you use for Greek island transfers?
Commonly the Airbus H135 for executive transport with advanced avionics, the Airbus H125 for versatility across island landscapes, and the Leonardo AW109SP for speed on longer hops. We recommend the aircraft based on group size, route, and requirements.
Do you fly medevac missions?
Yes. We coordinate helicopter medevac in Greece alongside our fixed-wing medical air transport service.
What is the difference between a single and twin-engine helicopter?
A single-engine helicopter such as the Robinson R66 or Airbus H125 is lighter, cheaper to operate, and ideal for short VFR island hops in good weather. A twin such as the Airbus H135 or Agusta A109C carries a second engine, more capable avionics, and IFR capability, which matters for weather days, night operations, and longer over-water legs.
How much does a helicopter transfer from Athens to Santorini cost?
Approximately €4,800 to €6,500 one way depending on helicopter type and season, with peak summer weekends at the upper end. Athens to Mykonos runs €4,500 to €6,000 and shorter hops such as Athens to Hydra start around €2,500.
Do helicopters fly at night or in bad weather?
Twin-engine IFR-capable helicopters can operate at night and in reduced visibility where the route and crew are approved for it; single-engine VFR aircraft cannot. Greek island transfers are predominantly daytime VFR operations, so an afternoon delay can push a flight to the following morning. We flag this at the quote stage rather than on the day.
Is a helicopter faster than the ferry between the Greek islands?
Substantially. Athens to Mykonos takes roughly 45 to 60 minutes by helicopter against about 2.5 hours by fast ferry, and island-to-island hops that involve a return to Athens by sea become direct 15 to 25 minute flights. The time saving is largest on multi-island itineraries.
Can a helicopter charter connect to my private jet arrival?
Yes, and it is one of the most common ways our helicopters are used. The helicopter is scheduled against your jet's arrival at Athens, Naples, or Nice, with handling coordinated on both sides so the transfer happens airside where the airport permits it.
Do you arrange helicopter charters outside Greece and Italy?
Yes. Our published regions are where we operate most often, but we arrange helicopter charter worldwide through the same vetted operator network, including safari flying in Kenya and transfers across the French Riviera. Ask the desk for anything not listed.
