The original Gulfstream 200 design comes from the Israeli manufacturer Astra Galaxy who bought the design to the Westwind aircraft in 1968 from Rockwall Aero commander. After Astra Galaxy was bought by Gulfstream in 2001, the aircraft was named G-100, G-150 and subsequently G-200 and the latest model being the G-280.

The Gulfstream 200 is a Super Mid-size aircraft capable of coast-to-coast and Oceanic operations. It has a seating capacity for 8 passengers and 2 crew members.
