Behold PFW, the cradle of sophistication that graced the global stage in the early 1970s, orchestrated under the discerning eye of the illustrious Mr. Lambert. Governed by the exacting standards of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture since then, this biannual event comes under the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. Besides dazzling runways, it has a financial impact of €0.4 billion, turning the City of Lights into a fashion haven.

The front rows have fashion royalty like Anna Wintour, effortlessly chic celebrities like Emma Watson, and the top models like Kate Moss. It’s not just about the runway; it’s the celebrity spotting of the who’s who of Hollywood and the fashion elite. Many attendees visit the city via private jet charter to Paris with Icarus Jet.

How To Get To Paris Fashion Week?

If you are on the search for a luxurious, reliable, and convenient travel option to Paris, business jet travel is an excellent alternative to commercial flights. Several airports cater to private aviation, such as Le Bourget and Toussus-le-Noble, allowing travelers to customize their journeys according to their preferences.

PARIS LE BOURGET AIRPORT: Le Bourget Airport (LBG) is a top choice for private jet travelers, offering dedicated terminals with efficient services, exclusive VIP lounges, and streamlined customs and immigration procedures. The airport operates around the clock, catering to jet and propeller aircraft arrivals. Departure flexibility is maintained, with jet departures closing from 9:15 PM to 5:15 AM and propeller aircraft allowed to depart until 10:15 PM for MTOW over 9 tons.

The airport is conveniently situated just 20 minutes from Paris by car. Fuel services include JET A1, while AVGAS/100LL is not available. Plus, there are limited PPR or airport slot requirements except for special events, and landing permits are typically necessary. A live trial of the new control system is underway till February 14th. The designated coordinator ‘COHOR’ can provide you with all the slot allocations in advance.

CHARLES DE GAULLE AIRPORT: Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) is primarily known as a major international airport serving commercial airlines and is not utilizable for general aviation. It’s one of the busiest airports in Europe and is a hub for domestic and international flights. For general aviation purposes, smaller airports closer to Paris, such as Le Bourget Airport, are more commonly used. CDG is half an hour away from the city center.

VELIZY VILLACOUBLAY AIRPORT: This is an air base around 35 minutes away from downtown Paris. As a military base, it may not be open to general aviation flights, and access is likely restricted. Military operations, training exercises, and aircraft maintenance are routine here.

TOUSSUS LE NOBLE AIRPORT: The airfield is designed to cater to private jet traffic and is not accommodative of scheduled airlines. It takes 40 minutes to reach Paris by car during peak traffic hours but only 25 minutes otherwise. Online bookings through the website are currently given priority over phone call bookings for refueling until February 29th. A new fueling station is also currently under construction.
