Where the Eclipse 500 fits

The Eclipse 500 is one of the smallest twin-engine jets in charter service, built for short regional hops with two to four passengers and hand luggage. Its appeal is cost: it is among the cheapest ways to move a small party by jet, and it can use short runways that larger types cannot.

Choosing between this and the alternatives

It is not the aircraft for luggage-heavy trips or long sectors. For a fuller cabin on similar routes, step up to a light jet such as the Phenom 300 or Citation XLS. Compare hourly rates for every category in the private jet charter cost guide, and see the full very light range on our very light cabin aircraft page.
