Our previous Paros guide published the runway as 2,625 feet. That was the old Paros airport near Alyki, a short strip that could take little more than small turboprops. The new airport opened in July 2016 with a 1,400 metre runway, about 4,593 feet, a few kilometres away, and our guide never caught up.
Corrected here and in our data. It is a clear example of why we verify against the current field rather than a cached figure, because the difference is the difference between a light jet being able to land and not.

17/35 is 1,400 metres, about 4,593 feet, by 98 feet, at 125 feet elevation, with Category 6 fire cover. That is light jet and turboprop territory. A midsize jet booked to Paros will end up at Mykonos or Athens and a boat, and we would rather say so at the quote.
Paros is slot coordinated but has none of Mykonos’s 40 minute ground limit, and parking is possible though limited in high summer. Handling is not mandatory. A new airport for an old island
The old Paros airport served the island from the 1980s with small turboprops on a short strip near Alyki. It limited what Paros could receive for three decades.
The new airport opened in July 2016 with a 1,400 metre runway and a new terminal, and the island now takes direct summer flights and light business jets. Few Greek islands have seen their access change so completely in one step.
