Colorado and the ski fields

Five airports that work as one system through the winter. When Aspen is full or closed, the traffic moves to Montrose, Rifle or Centennial, and knowing which one before you launch is most of the job.

ASE · KASEAspen-Pitkin County AirportKnown locally as Sardy Field and about 25 minutes from the Aspen business district. Private traffic converges here for the Winter X Games and the ski season. An 8,006 foot runway at altitude, and the hardest approach in the cluster.View guide → APA · KAPACentennial AirportFifteen miles from downtown Denver and designated by the FAA as a reliever airport. Primarily used by passengers heading on to Aspen and the nearby ski resorts. Our home base. Five fields around the Metroplex, and the choice is about road time at the Dallas end rather than capability.

DAL · KDALDallas Love FieldThe closest airport to downtown Dallas, owned by the city. The default arrival for private traffic into Dallas and the busiest of the Texas options for charter.View guide → ADS · KADSDallas Addison AirportThe gateway to north Dallas and one of the busiest general aviation airports in the United States, about 30 minutes from downtown on the North Tollway. The best of the Dallas fields on parking, ramp fees, jet fuel and hangar space, and the least used by charter.
