Embraer Phenom 300 specifications
Figures are for the Phenom 300E (Embraer 2025); the original Phenom 300 flies about 1,970 NM.
Where it fits
A light jet that reaches Mach 0.80
The Phenom 300 is Embraer's light jet, certified for single-pilot operation and able to reach Mach 0.80 in its current form. The figures in this guide are for the Phenom 300E, which Embraer publishes at 2,010 NM with five occupants on NBAA IFR reserves; the original Phenom 300 flies 1,971 NM.
The cabin is 4 feet 11 inches tall and 5 feet 1 inch wide, so passengers sit rather than stand, but Embraer holds it at a maximum cabin altitude of 6,600 feet, low for a light jet. Baggage and stowage total 84 cubic feet, with a 66 cubic foot rear compartment.
Embraer certified the Phenom 300 in December 2009 and delivered the 300E from 2018; the enhanced 300E of 2020 added PW535E1 engines, Mach 0.80 and the 2,010 NM range. Aviation Week counted 590 Phenom 300s delivered through 2020, and the Phenom 300EV has since been launched.
Anyone who needs to stand, or legs beyond its 2,010 NM range with five aboard, which a full cabin shortens further. The rear baggage compartment cannot be reached in flight. For a stand-up cabin and more range, the Citation Latitude is the better tool.
Missions
What the desk books it for
Dallas to Los Angeles
1,081 NM in a single leg, well inside its range, at a high-speed cruise of 464 knots. The desk plans the westbound headwind before it quotes.
Alps and islands
Zurich to Mykonos (954 NM) and London to Marbella (891 NM) are single sectors, with the 66 cubic foot rear compartment taking the holiday luggage.
Across Arabia
Dubai to Jeddah is 917 NM, one leg with permits filed alongside the trip.
Bigger parties on shorter legs
Up to ten passengers with a single pilot, or nine with two, using the optional belted lavatory seat and divan. Six is the standard layout, so the desk confirms seats and bags together.

Cabin and baggage
A seated cabin with a low cabin altitude
Aviation Week gives the cabin as 17 feet 2 inches long; Embraer's brochure diagram shows 19 feet 7 inches, which appears to include the cockpit. It is 5 feet 1 inch wide and 4 feet 11 inches tall, and Embraer gives a maximum cabin altitude of 6,600 feet.
Embraer lists six passengers as standard, with up to nine alongside two pilots or ten with one, using the optional belted lavatory seat and divan. The lavatory is at the rear.
Baggage and stowage total 84 cubic feet. The 66 cubic foot rear compartment is external and cannot be reached in flight, with the rest in the nose and cabin stowage, so keep what you need for the journey in the cabin and tell the desk about golf bags or skis when you enquire.
Performance and airports
Runways, altitude and the airports it opens
Embraer publishes a takeoff distance of 3,209 feet for the Phenom 300E at maximum weight at sea level on a standard day, and an unfactored landing distance of 2,212 feet with five occupants. It is certified to 45,000 feet, with a high-speed cruise of 464 knots and a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.80.
Those figures suit executive airports on the routes the desk flies, including Teterboro, Dallas Love Field and Farnborough.
High and hot fields change the answer. At Aspen, the runway length available on the day depends on elevation, temperature and weight, and London City requires a type and crew approved for its steep approach. The desk checks both for the specific aircraft before a quote goes out.
Compare the class
Phenom 300 against the other light jets
How the Phenom 300 lines up against the other light aircraft we cover. The Citation XLS has a stand-up cabin and seats up to twelve, and the Navajo Chieftain uses far less runway; the Phenom 300's case is a longer published range, a faster cruise and more baggage space than the others in the group.

Chartering with Icarus Jet
How we charter the Phenom 300
We source Phenom 300s from ARGUS-audited and Wyvern-certified operators, and the operator's name and audit status are on the quote. The desk checks range against the real routing and seats and bags against the real party before it checks availability, and tells you whether the aircraft offered is a 300 or a 300E, so it genuinely fits the trip.
Quotes are all-in and itemised: aircraft and crew, positioning, landing and handling, fuel and taxes, with nothing added after the flight that was not on the page. The figure depends on where the nearest suitable aircraft is based, the dates and the airports, which is why we price your actual trip rather than publish a rate.
Questions
Phenom 300 questions the desk gets
How far can a Phenom 300 fly nonstop?
Embraer publishes 2,010 NM for the Phenom 300E with five occupants at long-range cruise on NBAA IFR reserves with a 100 NM alternate, and the original Phenom 300 flies 1,971 NM. That covers sectors such as Dallas to Los Angeles. The desk plans each leg against winds, temperature and weight on the day.
How many passengers does a Phenom 300 seat?
Six in the standard layout. With the optional belted lavatory seat and divan, Embraer lists up to nine passengers with two pilots or ten with one. The published range assumes five occupants, so full cabins mean shorter legs.
Can you stand up in the cabin?
No. The cabin is 4 feet 11 inches tall and 5 feet 1 inch wide, so passengers sit for the flight. For a stand-up cabin, the desk will quote a Citation XLS or Citation Latitude alongside it.
How much luggage fits on a Phenom 300?
84 cubic feet in total, including a 66 cubic foot rear compartment that cannot be reached in flight, with the rest in the nose and cabin stowage. Tell the desk about golf bags, skis or equipment cases when you enquire.
Is the Phenom 300 flown by one pilot or two?
It is certified for single-pilot operation, and Embraer's seating figures cover both one-pilot and two-pilot crews. The Phenom 300E is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535E1 engines.
What is the difference between the Phenom 300 and the Phenom 300E?
The 300E began delivering in 2018, and the enhanced 300E from 2020 added PW535E1 engines, a Mach 0.80 maximum speed and the 2,010 NM range, against 1,971 NM for the original. The desk will tell you which version is available for your dates.
How fast is the Phenom 300?
The Phenom 300E has a high-speed cruise of 464 knots and a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.80 (Mach 0.78 without the PW535E1 engines). It is certified to 45,000 feet.
