Where it fits
Ultra long range with a stateroom and bags in reach
The Global 6000 is Bombardier's ultra long range jet from before the Global 6500. Its published range of 6,000 NM is quoted at Mach 0.85 with eight passengers and four crew, so the number reflects a working long haul load rather than an empty aircraft.
The cabin is six feet two inches tall and seven feet eleven inches wide at the centerline, laid out in three zones with a private aft stateroom and its own en-suite lavatory. Behind it sits a 195 cubic foot baggage compartment that Bombardier says is accessible in flight with no altitude or time restrictions.
It flies on two Rolls-Royce BR710A2-20 engines with a maximum operating altitude of 51,000 feet. It was marketed as the Global 6000 from 2012, and the Global 6500 replaced it with new engines and more range when it entered service in September 2019.
Short runways. At maximum weight it needs 6,476 feet of runway for takeoff at sea level, the longest run of the ultra long range jets we cover. If the sector sits inside 4,000 NM, a large cabin aircraft such as the Challenger 605 does the job from a 5,840 foot takeoff run.

The cabin measures 43 feet 3 inches from the cockpit divider to the aft cabin, excluding baggage, 7 feet 11 inches wide at the centerline (6 feet 6 inches at the floor) and 6 feet 2 inches tall. Bombardier's standard layout seats 13, and it offered layouts from eight to 19 seats; the published range is quoted with eight aboard.
The three zones run from a forward lavatory in the entry area, through the main seating areas, to a private aft stateroom with an en-suite lavatory. On a long night sector that separation is what lets part of the party sleep properly.

Bombardier publishes a takeoff distance of 6,476 feet at maximum weight at sea level on a standard day. Its initial cruise altitude at maximum weight is 41,000 feet and its maximum operating altitude is 51,000 feet, with a typical cruise of Mach 0.85.
On the routes the desk flies it, that means executive airports with the runway for a heavy long haul departure, including Teterboro, Farnborough and Geneva.
Shorter and high elevation fields change the answer. At Aspen the runway available on the day depends on elevation, temperature and weight, and London City requires a type and crew approved for its steep approach. The desk checks both for the specific aircraft before a quote goes out.
