Where it fits
The super midsize that carries eight the full distance
The Challenger 350 is one of the best-known jets in the super midsize class. Its published range of 3,200 NM is quoted with eight passengers aboard rather than the usual four, which matters because a full cabin is exactly when smaller jets start trading range for seats.
The cabin is six feet tall and seven feet two inches wide on a flat floor, so passengers stand, move and sit without the dropped aisle of older designs. Behind it sits a 106 cubic foot baggage compartment that stays reachable from the cabin for the whole flight.
Bombardier built it from 2014 as the development of the Challenger 300, with Honeywell HTF7350 engines and canted winglets, until the Challenger 3500 replaced it in 2022. Every Challenger 350 flying today was built inside that window.
Parties of more than ten, or westbound transatlantic nonstop in winter. New York to London sits inside its range eastbound, but the return against the jet stream often needs a fuel stop. For either, a large cabin aircraft such as the Challenger 605 is the better tool.
Missions
What the desk books it for
Coast to coast in one leg
New York to Los Angeles nonstop with a full cabin, including the westbound sector where lighter jets add a stop. The desk plans the winter headwind before it quotes.
Europe to the Middle East and Africa
London to Cairo, Cairo to Nairobi and Nairobi to Dubai sit comfortably inside its range, with permits filed alongside the trip.
Eight people with real luggage
Board meetings, sports teams and family trips where the bags are not an afterthought: a 106 cubic foot hold that stays reachable in flight, which not every jet in the class offers.
Long island sectors
Los Angeles to Hawaii is over 2,200 NM of open water. The Challenger 350 flies it nonstop with reserves, which smaller jets cannot.
Where it flies
Routes the desk flies on the Challenger 350
Sectors from our route guides that sit comfortably inside the Challenger 350's range with a full cabin. Each opens to the flight time, the airports at both ends and what to know before you fly.
Cabin and baggage
Six feet tall, flat floor, bags within reach
The cabin measures 25 feet 2 inches from the cockpit divider to the rear of the passenger area, 7 feet 2 inches wide and 6 feet tall, on a flat floor. Bombardier offered it with up to ten seats, and its published range is quoted with eight aboard.
An enclosed lavatory with a vanity and sink sits at the rear. The 106 cubic foot baggage compartment is internal and accessible from the cabin at any point in the flight, so a coat, a laptop bag or a change of clothes never has to be packed for the arrival.
Golf bags and skis fit in the hold. Tell the desk the count when you enquire, because the luggage, as much as the headcount, decides whether an eight-person trip stays on this aircraft or moves up a class.
Performance and airports
Runways, climb and the airports it opens
Bombardier publishes a takeoff distance of 4,835 feet at maximum weight at sea level on a standard day, and a landing distance of 2,364 feet. It climbs directly to 43,000 feet at maximum weight and is certified to 45,000 feet, above most airline traffic.
Those figures open the executive airports that matter on the routes the desk flies, including Teterboro, Dallas Love Field and Farnborough.
High and hot fields change the answer. At Aspen, the runway length available on the day depends on elevation, temperature and weight, and London City requires a type and crew approved for its steep approach. The desk checks both for the specific aircraft before a quote goes out.
Compare the class
Challenger 350 against the other super midsize
How the Challenger 350 lines up against the other super midsize jets we cover. The Praetor 600 and Citation Longitude fly further, the Citation X flies faster, and the Legacy 500 carries more baggage; the Challenger's case is the balance of all four with a full cabin.

Chartering with Icarus Jet
How we charter the Challenger 350
We source Challenger 350s from ARGUS-audited and Wyvern-certified operators, and the operator's name and audit status are on the quote. The desk checks range against the real routing and baggage against the real party before it checks availability, so the aircraft offered is one that genuinely fits the trip.
Quotes are all-in and itemised: aircraft and crew, positioning, landing and handling, fuel and taxes, with nothing added after the flight that was not on the page. The number depends on where the nearest suitable aircraft is based, the dates and the airports, which is why we price your actual trip rather than publish a rate.
Questions
Challenger 350 questions the desk gets
How far can a Challenger 350 fly nonstop?
Bombardier publishes 3,200 NM at Mach 0.80 with eight passengers and two crew on NBAA IFR reserves. In practice that covers coast to coast in the United States, Europe to the Gulf and Los Angeles to Hawaii. Winds, temperature and weight decide the real figure on the day, and the desk plans each leg against them.
How many passengers does a Challenger 350 seat?
Up to ten in the layouts Bombardier offered. Bombardier quotes its 3,200 NM range with eight passengers aboard, so eight is the load the desk plans long sectors around.
Can you stand up in the cabin?
Yes. The cabin is 6 feet tall on a flat floor, 7 feet 2 inches wide and 25 feet 2 inches long, so most passengers stand upright and walk the length of it without stooping.
How much luggage fits on a Challenger 350?
The internal baggage compartment holds 106 cubic feet and stays accessible from the cabin throughout the flight. Tell the desk about golf bags, skis or equipment cases when you enquire, so the hold is planned before the aircraft is offered.
Can a Challenger 350 fly from New York to London nonstop?
Eastbound, usually yes: the sector sits inside its range with the prevailing wind behind it. Westbound in winter the headwind often forces a fuel stop. If a nonstop return matters, the desk will quote a large cabin aircraft such as the Challenger 605 alongside it.
What is the difference between the Challenger 350 and the Challenger 3500?
The Challenger 3500 replaced the 350 from 2022 with a redesigned cabin and a published range of 3,400 NM. The airframe family is the same, so for most charter trips the two do the same job; the desk will tell you which one is available for your dates.
How fast is the Challenger 350?
Typical cruise is Mach 0.80, about 460 knots at altitude, with a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.82. It climbs directly to 43,000 feet at maximum weight, which keeps it above most airline traffic and weather.
