The Citation X is the jet the desk offers when time in the air matters most. The Citation X+ is certified to a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935 (Mach 0.92 on the original Citation X), among the fastest business jets ever certified, with a maximum cruise of 527 knots at 35,000 feet.
Speed shapes the cabin. It is five feet eight inches tall with a dropped aisle rather than a flat floor, and five feet six inches wide, so it suits eight people seated in a double club more than a party that wants to move around. Bags go in a 72 cubic foot heated and pressurised tailcone hold, plus a 10 cubic foot utility area.
Cessna built the Model 750 from 1996 to 2018, 339 of them in all. The Citation X+, delivered from 2014, added a 15 inch cabin stretch, Rolls-Royce AE3007C2 engines, Garmin G5000 avionics and winglets. Most charter Citation Xs are the original model, so the figures on this page are for the X+ unless we say otherwise, and the desk tells you which one you are offered.
Parties who want a flat floor and full standing room, or who travel with a lot of luggage. At five feet eight inches with a dropped aisle, taller passengers stoop, and 82 cubic feet of hold fills quickly with eight aboard. It also needs about 5,250 feet of runway at maximum weight (X+), so short strips can rule it out. For a six-foot flat-floor cabin and more baggage, the Citation Longitude or Legacy 500 is the better tool.

Five feet eight, dropped aisle, eight in a club
On the Citation X+ the cabin measures 25 feet 2 inches from the cockpit divider to the mid pressure bulkhead, 5 feet 6 inches wide and 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a dropped aisle. The original Citation X cabin is 15 inches shorter. Eight seats in a double club is the typical layout, and the type is certified for up to twelve passengers.
The Citation X+ has an aft lavatory with a belted flushing toilet and a vanity as standard. Interiors on original aircraft vary, so ask the desk for the layout of the specific aircraft.
Bags go in a 72 cubic foot tailcone compartment that is heated and pressurised, loaded through an external door on the left side, with a further 10 cubic foot utility area through the lower tailcone door. We cannot confirm access to the hold in flight, so keep what you need for the flight in the cabin, and tell the desk about golf bags or skis when you enquire.

Textron publishes a takeoff field length of 5,250 feet for the Citation X+ at maximum weight at sea level on a standard day, and a landing distance of 3,330 feet. That is more runway than the midsize Citations need, so short strips can limit it. It is certified to 51,000 feet.
Those figures open the executive airports that matter on the routes the desk flies, including Teterboro, Dallas Love Field, Farnborough and Geneva.
Shorter and more demanding fields change the answer. At Aspen, the runway length available on the day depends on elevation, temperature and weight; Lugano needs its runway and approach checked against the aircraft, and London City requires a type and crew approved for its steep approach.
