Where it fits
The longest-range Citation in production
The Citation Longitude flies 3,500 NM with four passengers at Mach 0.80, the longest range of any Citation currently in production. The FAA certified it in September 2019, it entered service that October and it is still being built, so every Longitude on charter is a recent aircraft.
The cabin is six feet tall, six feet five inches wide and 25 feet 2 inches long on a flat floor, with a double club as standard. Cabin altitude stays at or below 4,950 feet at a 41,000 foot cruise.
Behind the aft lavatory sits a 112 cubic foot walk-in baggage compartment inside the pressure vessel, reachable from the cabin in flight and loaded from outside through its own door. Two Honeywell HTF7700L engines of 7,665 pounds thrust each power it.
Parties of more than twelve (a US-registered Longitude may be limited to eleven), or the longest sectors with every seat filled. Its 3,500 NM range is quoted with four passengers, so a full cabin on a long leg can mean a fuel stop. For the longest super midsize legs the Praetor 600 publishes more range, and for bigger parties a large cabin aircraft such as the Challenger 605 is the better tool.
Missions
What the desk books it for
Long island sectors
Los Angeles to Hawaii is over 2,200 NM of open water, well inside the Longitude's 3,500 NM range. The desk plans the load and the winds before it quotes.
Europe to the Middle East and Africa
London to Cairo, Cairo to Nairobi and Nairobi to Dubai each run around 1,900 NM, comfortably inside its range, with permits filed alongside the trip.
Bags you can reach
Family trips and teams with real luggage: a 112 cubic foot walk-in hold behind the lavatory, reachable in flight, taking up to 1,000 pounds in the compartment.
A working day in the air
Eight seats in a double club on a six-foot flat floor, with the cabin held at or below 4,950 feet at 41,000 feet, for a board or deal team that needs to work on the way.

Cabin and baggage
Six feet tall, flat floor, a walk-in hold
Textron gives the cabin as 25 feet 2 inches long, 6 feet 5 inches wide and 6 feet tall, on a flat floor. The standard layout is a double club of eight seats. Textron quotes up to twelve passengers, although FAA certification allows eleven and EASA twelve.
The aft lavatory has an airline-style vacuum-flush toilet and a sink, and it leads to the baggage compartment. The toilet is not a belted seat, so it does not add to the passenger count.
The 112 cubic foot hold is walk-in, sits inside the pressure vessel and is reachable from the cabin for the whole flight, as well as through an external door. Total baggage capacity is 1,115 pounds, up to 1,000 of it in the compartment. Tell the desk about golf bags, skis or equipment cases when you enquire, so the hold is planned before the aircraft is offered.
Performance and airports
Runways, climb and the airports it opens
Textron publishes a takeoff distance of 4,810 feet at maximum weight at sea level on a standard day, on a level dry paved runway, and a landing distance of 3,170 feet. It is certified to 45,000 feet, with a maximum cruise of 483 knots and a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.84.
Those figures open the executive airports that matter on the routes the desk flies, including Teterboro, Dallas Love Field, Farnborough and Geneva.
High and hot fields change the answer. At Aspen, the runway length available on the day depends on elevation, temperature and weight, and London City requires a type and crew approved for its steep approach. The desk checks both for the specific aircraft before a quote goes out.

Citation Longitude against the other super midsize
How the Citation Longitude lines up against the other super midsize jets we cover. The Praetor 600 flies further, the Citation X flies faster, and the Legacy 500, Praetor 600 and G200 carry more baggage; the Longitude's case is range, a flat-floor cabin and a hold you can walk into in flight.

Chartering with Icarus Jet
How we charter the Citation Longitude
We source Citation Longitudes from ARGUS-audited and Wyvern-certified operators, and the operator's name and audit status are on the quote. The desk checks range against the real routing, with the real headcount, and baggage against the real party before it checks availability, so the aircraft offered is one that genuinely fits the trip.
Quotes are all-in and itemised: aircraft and crew, positioning, landing and handling, fuel and taxes, with nothing added after the flight that was not on the page. The figure depends on where the nearest suitable aircraft is based, the dates and the airports, which is why we price your actual trip instead of publishing a rate.
Questions
Citation Longitude questions the desk gets
How far can a Citation Longitude fly nonstop?
Textron publishes 3,500 NM with four passengers at Mach 0.80 on NBAA IFR reserves, in standard conditions with no wind. That covers Los Angeles to Hawaii and London to Cairo with room to spare. More passengers, winds and temperature reduce the real figure, and the desk plans each leg against them.
How many passengers does a Citation Longitude seat?
Eight in the standard double club layout. Textron quotes up to twelve passengers; FAA certification allows eleven and EASA twelve, so a US-registered aircraft may be limited to eleven.
Can you stand up in the cabin?
Yes. The cabin is 6 feet tall on a flat floor, 6 feet 5 inches wide and 25 feet 2 inches long, so most passengers stand upright and walk the length of it without stooping.
How much luggage fits on a Citation Longitude?
The walk-in aft compartment holds 112 cubic feet, with a total baggage capacity of 1,115 pounds. It is reachable from the cabin in flight through the lavatory and loaded from outside through its own door. Tell the desk about golf bags, skis or equipment cases when you enquire.
Is the Longitude the longest-range Citation?
Of the Citations currently in production, yes: Textron publishes 3,500 NM with four passengers at Mach 0.80. If speed matters more than range on your trip, the desk can quote a Citation X alongside it.
How fast is the Citation Longitude?
Maximum cruise is 483 knots and the maximum operating speed is Mach 0.84, with the range figure quoted at Mach 0.80. It is certified to 45,000 feet, and cabin altitude stays at or below 4,950 feet at a 41,000 foot cruise.
How new is the Citation Longitude?
The FAA certified it on 21 September 2019 and it entered service that October. Textron rolled out the 100th production aircraft in May 2023, the type is still in production, and Garmin G5000 upgrades are offered from 2026.
